10th Bar-Ilan Symposium on the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence


The 10th Bar-Ilan Symposium on the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (BISFAI) will be held Sunday-Monday,
June 14-15, 2009, at Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel.
BISFAI is a biennial regional artificial intelligence symposium (the largest AI event in the Middle East!).
It is a warm, informal event, with very high-quality talks. The official language of the symposium is English.
The symposium is held in cooperation with the Israel Association for Artificial Intelligence (IAAI).

We call for papers on substantial novel research in all areas of theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence
and related areas, including, but not limited to:

* AI algorithms and knowledge representation
* AI foundations and automated reasoning
* Computational linguistics and natural language processing
* Information retrieval
* Text mining and data mining
* Intelligent agents
* Knowledge-based systems
* Machine learning
* AI planning and search
* Robotics and multi-robot systems
* Probabilistic reasoning
* Temporal reasoning

System Demonstrations

We also solicit proposals for demonstrations of innovative applications of artificial intelligence; proposals should be up to 2 pages long. Proposals should be made electronically, as a PDF attachment, and sent by email to Gal Kaminka (galk@cs.biu.ac.il) by March 31, 2009.
The subject line for the message should read "BISFAI Demo".
